Volunteers are much needed for the refugee Care Center to operate as they cover many posts. A minimum of 10 volunteers are needed every day. More volunteers are welcome for various tasks.
Care Center offers free medical examinations In cooperation with Agape, AMG, volunteer doctors, dentists and nurses by using the fully equipped mobile medical unit that belongs to Agape.
Refugee Care Center is financially relied on private sponsorships and donations given to missionary organisations, evangelical churches and get to us through the greek evangelical alliance.
Donations were provided and Center was equipped as needed. We do accept donations in cash as well as in products which help us cover refugee's needs. Care Center needs 900€ daily.
The Refugee Care Center has been created to serve refugees and immigrants in Thessaloniki
The Refugee Care Center has been created to serve refugees and immigrants in Thessaloniki, offering bathroom services, laundry services, and used clothes. All these in a safe place with refugee language translators, a specially designed children’s area, volunteers for serving the beneficiaries and offering snacks, coffee and tea to everyone.
We are open every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 noon until 6 PM. We accept refugees as well as immigrants from different countries who have applied for asylum in Greece or to be transferred to another country. Families and individuals are welcome to use the free services we offer.
Visits and help to other refugee centers
We have a specially designed space for small children, full of toys and our volunteers take care of them. At times we distribute toys and gifts to the children, depending on availability. Activities include hand crafts for kids team games theater etc.
We provide medical supplies as well as medical care at the official refugee camps with doctors and dentists. We have also distributed clothes toys and food supplies in cooperation with several evangelical churches.
Using the fully equipped mobile medical unit that belongs to Agape, we visit Greek Roma Camps, villages in Greece and official refugee camps, offering free medical services. (dental care, cardio exams and ultrasound scanning).
